Since the very beginning of recorded history, the Common House Martin has lived closely with humanity and owes its name to that fact. On top of that, it is easy to recognise by its white and blue/black feathers and it feeds on insects which it catches midair. Swallows prefer to breed clumped together, so it is best to hang multiple swallow nests close together. This nest is best attached under the roof boarding with the top of the nest right up against the overhang, creating a closed cavity with flight entrance.”
